Won’t my strength improve naturally by doing BJJ?

Do I need lots of specialist equipment?

No, that’s one of the best things about sandbag training. This instructional includes all the information you need to begin. All you will need is a sandbag and some sand! If you don't have a sandbag already then it would be smart to watch the chapters "Types of Sandbags" and "Training info" to advise you on styles of bags, starting weight, and best sand to use.

I’ve injured by back, are these exercises safe?

Yes, and I have personal experience to prove it. 11 years ago I broke my back, and my road to recovery took many years and I tried many different rehabilitation methods. To my own surprise, it was only when I started taking sandbag training seriously that I saw a dramatic improvement. I credit sandbag training for allowing me to get back to almost 100% functionality.

I’m a beginner, is this course too advanced?

Absolutely not. The techniques I teach are just as useful to white belts as they are to high-level black belts. Strengthening your body functionally and safely will be a huge advantage at any stage of your journey, and will put you way ahead of the competition.
